marekPrior to joining Demlakian in August 1998, Marek built a strong international portfolio of experience. In Europe, he developed his industrial and civil Infrastructure skills, followed by a stint in the Pacific, where he gained expertise in seismic analysis, design and detailing of building structures. Marek then developed his local engineering knowledge in Melbourne before making a move to Sydney. Marek has developed his local engineering knowledge both in Melbourne as well as in Sydney.

In June 2000, Marek was appointed as an associate of the firm and then Director in 2003. He is now responsible for the co-ordination and technical management of the design office, whilst being also actively involved in the design of more complicated projects.

Marek holds a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and Business Administration. He is also a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers.

Marek is a registered engineer under NPER in the structural discipline, as well as having the necessary certification to work across Queensland and Victoria.


DAVID WILCOX

davidDavid joined DCE in 1999 and has over 19 years experience as a professional engineer. David has wide ranging expertise in civil, hydraulic and structural engineering and the design and maintenance of railway infrastructure.

Graduating from the University of Technology, Sydney with First Class Honours and the University Medal, David is a Chartered Professional Engineer with NPER registration in civil and structural disciplines. He is also a Member of the New Zealand Society for Earthquake Engineering.

As well as extensive experience with engineering projects in Australia David has undertaken projects in more than 20 overseas locations, including the Pacific Islands, Africa and Asia, and is fully conversant with the requirements for design in regions of high seismicity and extreme wind loads and local practices.

In 2009 David has been appointed as Director of the Civil and Hydraulic Divisions.
